Shatrughan Sinha is an Indian actor-turned-politician known for his long career in Hindi cinema and public service. A prominent parliamentarian, he currently represents Asansol, West Bengal, as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Lok Sabha, affiliated with the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC).

Sinha studied at the Film and Television Institute of India, training in acting before debuting in Hindi cinema in the late 1960s. Known for his deep voice and rebellious persona, he became a major star through the 1970s and 1980s, often portraying antiheroes or tough supporting characters. His distinctive dialogue delivery earned him the nickname “Shotgun.”
