Job Overview
A Medical Representative is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies. They act as a bridge between the company and healthcare professionals and help increase product awareness and sales.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Promotion & Sales
- Promote medicines and healthcare products to doctors and pharmacists
- Explain product benefits, dosage, and usage
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets
2. Doctor Visits & Meetings
- Schedule appointments with doctors and healthcare professionals
- Conduct product presentations and detailing
- Provide samples and promotional materials
3. Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with doctors, chemists, and hospitals
- Maintain long-term professional connections
- Act as the face of the company in the market
4. Territory Management
- Handle assigned sales area (territory)
- Identify new customers and business opportunities
- Ensure product availability in pharmacies and hospitals
5. Market Research & Reporting
- Track competitor products and market trends
- Submit daily/weekly sales reports
- Provide feedback to the company on customer needs
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Pharm / B.Sc / Any Graduate)
- Freshers or experienced candidates
- Basic knowledge of medicines and healthcare

Salary (India)
- Fresher: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000/month
- Experienced: ₹30,000 – ₹60,000+/month
