Mandarmani Beach is a scenic coastal stretch along the Bay of Bengal in East Midnapore district, West Bengal, India. Known for its unusually long, motorable shoreline and tranquil atmosphere, it has transformed from a fishing hamlet into one of eastern India’s most popular seaside getaways for families, couples, and weekend travelers from Kolkata.

Stretching roughly 13 km, Mandarmani is among India’s longest drivable beaches. The sand here is firm and wide, allowing vehicles to move along parts of the coast during low tide. The sea remains comparatively calm, and the beach is flanked by coconut groves and casuarina trees, offering both scenic beauty and shade. Thousands of tiny red crabs scuttle along the shore—an iconic sight that has become synonymous with the location.
